Tour of the Art-Industrial Exhibition-Forum “Unique Russia” and Round Table “Temple Builders and Beautifiers of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ – the Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”.

On February 13, 2021, Moscow teachers (the public association “Altar of the Fatherland” and the Association of Teachers of Orthodox Culture) took a tour of the Art and Industrial Exhibition “Unique Russia” in the Moscow Gostiny Dvor.

The purpose of the exhibition is to show Russia as a country of unique opportunities, which is constantly developing, and carefully preserves the traditions of a multinational people, the diversity of culture and folk art.

The exhibition presents: paintings, sculptures, architecture, arts and crafts, folk arts and crafts, jewelry and Orthodox art, antiques. Also, it was possible to get acquainted with the projects of the Women’s Orthodox Patriotic Society at the exhibition: the monument “Blessing of Matrimony” by Vasily and Philip Moskvitin, the monument “Holy Family” by Alexei Chirkov, dedicated to the 800th anniversary of Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky, as well as the project “Kokoshnik – the national symbol of Russia “Dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Empire.

After the excursion, a round table “Temple builders and beautifiers of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ – the Main Temple of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”, erected in the Patriot Park for the 75th anniversary of the Victory of our people in the Great Patriotic War, took place.

Roundtable participants: Chief architect of the temple Dmitry Mikhailovich Smirnov, Folk artists of the Russian Federation: Vasily Igorevich Nesterenko, Salavat Alexandrovich Shcherbakov, Dmitry Anatolyevich Belyukin, representatives of the Studio of Military Artists named after M. B. Grekova, Honored Artists of the Russian Federation: Vitaly Dmitrievich Shanov, Mikhail Sergeevich Leontyev and Daria Viktorovna Shabalina, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Arts, mass media.

At 15.00 a concert “About you, my Russia!”, Prepared by Ilya Alexandrovich Novikov, took place. Television filming was conducted by the “Zhar-Ptitsa” TV channel.

We would like to sincerely thank Galina Vasilievna Ananyina, the organizer and curator of this wonderful, uplifting exhibition, for the opportunity to visit it, for the unique exhibits and meaningful exposition, for its inspiring story and organization. A wonderful meeting with amazing people – our contemporaries, temple-builders and beautifiers of the Main Temple of the Armed Forces, who accomplished the feat of building this grandiose, one-of-a-kind structure in 1.5 years.

We sincerely thank Ilya Novikov for the concert program, which, like a drop of dew, reflected the talents of the Russian land.
